Greetings one and all! The hiatus is somewhat over at last! 😀 I’ve missed baking, blogging, and bugging all of you on Instagram and beyond, so I’ve decided the time is nigh to set aside procrastination and other foul things to bring you an easy but versatile recipe. Let me say this, naming is not easy. It was initially a spread, then a drizzle, then a mush… needless to say, not at all tempting. The thing is, depending on how much soy milk you add, it could be any one of those things. Ah well, tuff life choices when you can smear something with kick and creaminess on top of toast or swirl it into homemade nice-cream :p In this post I’m highlighting three ways in which I’ve used the protein cream to give you ideas, not that you aren’t ridiculously creative all by yourselves 🙂 Continue reading
I know I said I was on a bit of a hiatus, but I just had to jump back and share these rich, melt-y chocolate bars that have been helping me through my current chocolate fetish. Spinning round on my brain all day long is pretty much a solid trigger for comfort food, but there’s none better at this point than silky chocolate. Huzzah! Continue reading
I have a confession to make: these bars almost didn’t make it to the blog. Not because they aren’t delicious, but because I almost ate them all up before taking pictures earlier this week. Usually I’m quite good and don’t really scarf down every morsel, but I don’t even think Man-thing got a real slice, which goes to show that these are magical indeed! Continue reading
Ngghhh. I don’t know how else to introduce this, but it’s good. Really pretty on the slab and in my mouth. That sounds raunchier than it’s meant to be, but it’s Friday and my brain is somewhat fried :pAnd before you all dash off to see what’s what, don’t forget to download your super free copy of The Chocolate Cleanse Riot ebook (all vegan and mostly gluten-free, and of course 100% dedicated to chocolate!) Click on the pic below to jump in 😀
Whoo hoo! Ever since I finished exams I have been living life to the full…or at least getting full on these carrot oat balls. Same thing, nay? Anyhow, since I am unchained for the moment I have a breath to catch in time and space and start getting all my ducks in a row for the next few adventures: my teaching practicals starting at the beginning of next month, a possible cool second job that will make me feel rich, a trip to Morocco to plan (ARGH!), and other treats like homing kittens and attending courses on how to be an awesomesauce teacher. Well, if you thought that was a mouthful you should see the inside of my head: it’s just a non-stop blab fest, which is why I’m going to switch over to food now to calm us all down again 😀
But before I forget, don’t miss out on your free downloadable chocolate-themed vegan ebook! There’s sneaky veggies and fruit and protein, so you won’t feel bad or guilty if that’s how you secretly view chocolate. Celebrate and munch!
It’s finally here!! I can’t remember if I’ve been sneaky or not about this ebook (which is possibly another layer of ninja if I can hide even that from myself) but I’ve finished and it’s all yours for free and it’s 100% dedicated to my food mistress: chocolate. No matter how busy I get or how lazy, there’s always time in the day for a nibble on something chocolate-y. I may have something of an addiction, but I’ve decided to make a total chocolate cleanse for myself….with chocolate. And since it’s free, you can “cleanse” with me! 😀 Continue reading
Warning, this is all about the comfort food, since this has been a sucky month and I don’t foresee any let-up anytime soon (and hence chocolate!). I’ve got my first exam later today, so naturally I’m procrastinating just a little, but I’ve been meaning to share my comfort munchies for the past week or so, so here goes! 🙂
It is ridiculous at the moment in South Africa – one minute hot and the next cold. All my meal planning goes out the window when I plan for warming oat bowls and steaming zoodles and then it’s all sunshine and chirpiness, or when I haul out the frozen fruit and it starts raining. At any rate I never need many excuses to indulge in something delicious! With that in mind, I’m going to represent the south and share a super easy but delicious and somewhat creamy tangerine grape pop recipe.
Ebook time! 😀 I’ve decided to hang up my apron and call it a day in order to bring you this bit of shiny today. We can sure all agree that this squashy pumpkin business is one of the best treats nature has to offer, and is easily swayed from salty to sweet. Have a click and download the absolutely free ebook (because you guys are awesomesauce)! Also, today’s the big day for announcing the 4 winners of the NuNaturals international giveaway 😀
