Carrot + peach breakfast loaf {vegan + gluten-free}

Choc banana loaf bars {vegan + gluten-free}

I know, I know, it’s like I couldn’t make up my mind about what on earth this is. It’s a loaf and works as a bar, so… yep. That’s as big as my brain can go at the moment! With lesson prep for school, a new kitty to integrate (see below!!), and general life to organize, it’s difficult to stay afloat sometimes without a little help. Chocolate helps. Bananas help. Oh my soul, how is it already Wednesday?? Usually I would be clawing at the walls in anguish, waiting for the weekend, but this weekend we’re heading to Morocco for 12 or so days, and I haven’t been on an overseas plane in eight or so years, so yikes! The chocolate cleanse riot: free ebook!

It’s finally here!! I can’t remember if I’ve been sneaky or not about this ebook (which is possibly another layer of ninja if I can hide even that from myself) but I’ve finished and it’s all yours for free and it’s 100% dedicated to my food mistress: chocolate. Chickpea scramble (vegan + gluten-free)

My last exam of the season is tomorrow, so naturally I’m procrastinating: reading fic, watching youtube clips on reincarnated Egyptians (Omm Seti), and generally plotting my life around comfort food. Breakfast doughnuts

Ack! I’m falling behind with everything in life thanks to school starting back up and exam studying going on and on forever, but I have to share this bit of munch since it’s what kept me going today in between rushing from place to place. It’s a super dense, tasty and very much made to be an any-time snack. I’ve named these breakfast doughnuts since I had them for second breakfast, but there’s no shame in filling them with hummus and pesto for a savoury dinner dish with salad even or nice-cream and date paste for something sweet!breakfastdoughnutsplash

Orange + blueberry cookies

I’m a cookie monster. That is, I can slay a packet in seconds flat but creating them is another story altogether. Somehow I have the motivation to make layered cakes, baklava and even chutneyΒ from scratch, but cookies are terrifying? Well, quirks and what not. Or laziness. Red lentil burger wraps with curried pumpkin fries

The best part of my weekends is going to the Saturday market. Fresh air, outside vibes, people watching, family, and a delicious falafel wrap. I don’t always indulge but sometimes I buy a stack of their homemade spinach wraps to munch during the week, and with a hankering for protein I made some super quick and easy burgers to stuff inside them. Staggered shepherd’s pie

It’s Monday! I have no idea how that happened, other than blinking away the weekend. We’re mired in a heat wave at the moment and yet somehow I ended up in front of an oven the whole of yesterday, baking away on what felt like a billion projects. This one was meant to just be a hearty meal, but it managed to get the Man-thing stamp of approval, so you know it has to be shiny!
